REIKI (pronounced “ray-ke”) is a form of hands-on healing, with origins traced back at least 2,500 years to Shamanism and writings in Japan, Buddhist Sutras and Chinese Medicine. In fact, it is widely believed that Reiki was used for healing by Buddha and Jesus. Ancient cultures practiced the wisdom and knowledge that an unseen energy connected all living beings and was a vital component to healing. The ability to channel this universal healing energy through ourselves and transmit out our hands was “rediscovered” by Dr. Usui at the end of the 19th century in Japan. Reiki is a Japanese term meaning Universal (Rei) Energy (Ki).

At times, due to illness, stress or fatigue, there can be blocks in the energy system (referred to Ki, Qi, or Prana). If these blocks are left untreated, it can lead to imbalances or illness. Reiki releases these blocks and allows one’s body to return to a healthy balance or equilibrium.

What To Expect from a Reiki Session

During a Reiki Session, a client lies on a massage table, fully clothed. The practitioner serves as a conduit for the universal (Rei) energy (ki) and allows it to flow out their hands for healing purposes. It is not necessary to touch the patient because the healing is taking place at the energetic level, however, with the patient’s permission, the practitioner may apply Reiki through direct touch when appropriate. The healing benefits of Reiki are usually evident during one session. Most clients feel extremely relaxed and experience sensations of a tingling warmth. The benefits of Reiki are being acknowledged by western medicine. Many nurses and doctors are using this technique in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and hospice centers around the world. Overall, Reiki can benefit holistically the body, mind and soul. It addresses the physical body as well as the Meridian and Chakra Systems to heal physiological, emotional & energetic levels of imbalances and dis-ease.

Sound Healing & Astrological Tuning Forks

Throughout time amidst all cultures, music and sound have been used in healing. Sound is a vibratory motion of energy and travels four times faster in water. The body is the perfect resonator for sound because it is almost 80% water. Therefore, the receptivity of the body to sound healing is deeply harmonizing.

I combine Sound Healing with Reiki as a creative synergy of arts. Most sessions include Shamanic techniques using drums and rattles with a repertoire of other instruments, such as, singing bowls, gongs, bells or didgeridoo. This variety of vibrations and sounds with Reiki is like a symphony to the soul.

Another divine tool is the Astrological Tuning Forks, of which I have the full set corresponding with the planets in our solar system. Each has been individually calibrated to the frequency of a planet. The tuning forks bring the cosmic energies "down to earth" to work on them directly. As an astrologer, I will review your Astrology Chart beforehand to administer this Harmonic Medicine in the most beneficial manner.
